Bragging Rights

I am SO proud of my son. He came home with a letter last week in a fancy envelope. I thought "What could this be? An invitation maybe?" But no, it was a letter explaining he had been picked as a Model Mound Mustang for the first six weeks. Mound is the name of his elementary school. He was chosen by his teachers and classmates for exemplifying respect at all times. How great is that? Plus, he was the only boy chosen from the whole 1st grade! A little girl from his class got it too. So, this morning the school had a breakfast for the kids. It was very nice. A teacher stood at the front and read off what each kid's certificate said. They were all different. Here is what G's said:

"G demonstrates respect on a daily basis in the way that he treats those around him. He always considers the needs of other students. G is very polite, courteous, and well-mannered. He is a joy to have in class and is a wonderful example of a Model Mound Mustang."

I am one proud Mommy!!!
